Grand Theft Auto IV locations


Airport
A place where airplanes land and take off, hopefully. Also where food is really, really overpriced, and intrigue always seems around the corner, at least in video games.
Albania
Albania is a South Eastern European country on the coast of the Adriatic and Ionian Seas.
Alderney
Alderney is an small state, independent from Liberty City, loosely based on New Jersey. It is named after a Channel Island.
Algonquin
One of the major parts of the redesigned Liberty City. It's modeled after Manhattan and includes replicas of the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, Time Square, and many others.
Amusement Park
Sometimes a fun place, other times a nightmare come true.
Bahama Mamas
Bahama Mamas is a club located in Liberty City.
Bank
A general location used to store and invest money. Whether players rob it, or store money in it and gain some interest, banks are a long-standing institution in video games.
Bar
A place to buy alcoholic beverages and to mingle/meet with non player characters. Bars in games are sometimes essential to advance the plot, or recruit party members. Bars are the modern equivalents of taverns. You see taverns in fantasy games and bars in modern/sci-fi games.
Basketball Court
An area where basketball is played.
Bathroom
A room which is devoted entirely to hygiene, containing a toilet and sometimes a sink. Residential bathrooms typically have a shower or bathtub.
Beach
Beaches are slopes of sand, gravel, or pebbles that lead down to the water of an ocean, sea, river, or lake.
Bohan
One of the five boroughs of Liberty City.
Bosnia and Herzegovina
Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country located in The Balkans, in southeastern Europe.
Bowling Alley
A bowling alley is a place with one or more lanes dedicated to bowling, the sport where you try to roll a ball down a lane to hit as many of the 10 pins as possible. May or may not have funky shoes.
Broker
Neighbourhood in Liberty City. Broker is where most Eastern-European immigrants live.
Burger Shot
Burger Shot is a fast food franchise that is prevalent in Grand Theft Auto Vice City through Grand Theft Auto IV.
Cemetery
A common place in Survival Horror video games. Burial grounds for the deceased. Or zombies.
Chinatown
Chinatown is where it all goes down! All the hottest action games take you through Chinatown at least once.
Cluckin' Bell
Fictional restaurant from the Grand Theft Auto series.
Construction Site
A Construction site is the location of a building not yet completed.
Dock
A port where seagoing vessels can take on or discharge cargo.
Firefly Island
Liberty City's version of Coney Island. Including a theme park and Russian mafia.
Funland
Firefly's theme park in Liberty City
Gas Station
A gas station is a type of establishment that sells fuel and lubricants for automobiles. In video games, they serve as something else: a massive bomb.
Home
Home is where the heart is, and a good place to go back to when you want some rest. A home can also be a good place to save your game, change your clothes, and change your options.

Hospital
A hospital is a place to seek help in a medical emergency. It is also used for treating minor illnesses that aren't necessary an emergency. Some games take place in a hospital, whilst others use them as a part of the environment.
Hove Beach
A neighbourhood in southern Broker.
Liberty City
The setting for four Grand Theft Auto games, its motto is "Worst Place in America" due to its rampant corruption and crime. The Islands: Algonquin (Manhattan): A comercial district full of skyscrapers. Broker (Brooklyn): The city in which you start in the game. Dukes (Queens): Mainly residential, it is very ethnically diverse aswell. Bohan (Bronx): It is very rundown, mainly houses in this district. The heart of the drug problem in Liberty City. Alderney (Jersey City): Mainly consists of rundown industrial sites, home of the Sprunk factory.
Little Italy
An area usually found in larger cities with a large Italian demographic.
Lost MC Clubhouse
The Lost MC Clubhouse is the headquarters of The Lost Motorcycle Club.
Military Base
Hope you've got clarification.
Museum
Where the natural world and art and science of past and present are on display.
New York City
The city that never sleeps. Home to Times Square, Broadway, and the Empire State Building. It is the largest city in the United States.
Nightclub
A location wherein real-life and fictional beings alike go to relax, get plastered, and/or shake their groove thang.
North America
The third-largest continent in the world.
Oil Refinery
Massive Facility dedicated to the refining of crude oil.
Parking lot
Featured in extensive amounts of games. Either acts as inventory for cars, like in GTA, or battlegrounds, like in Mercenaries.
Pay 'n' Spray
The Pay 'n' Spray is a location found in the Grand Theft Auto franchise used for lowering your wanted level and fixing your car.
Police Station
Office or headquarters for police officers, also contains holding cells and interrogation rooms.
Prison
A prison is a secure location built for the confinement of a person or persons for a set length of time. It is often built by the state to punish criminals, and sequester them from productive members of society.
Pub
Catch a brew at these bars. They've been around for thousands of years, and they ain't goin' nowhere.
Safe House
A location in a video game where the player can refresh his or her resources. Stereotypically health/medkits, ammunition, etc.
Serbia
This is a beautiful country on the Balkans which the capital city is Belgrade. It has appeared in a couple games like GTA.
Shop
A place where you can buy, and sometimes sell things.
Split Sides
A Comedy club in Liberty City. Katt Williams and Ricky Gervais performs there.
Steinway Beer Garden
A fiction bar from Grand Theft Auto IV
Strip Club
A nightclub or bar where striptease is regularly performed.
Subway
A rapid transit system operating below the surface of the ground.
The Statue of Liberty
The famous American landmark symbolizing freedom and the American way.
The United States of America
The United States serves as the location or the back-story of countless video games. It also plays host to some of the largest game development studios and publishers in the world.
The World Trade Center
Even when the World Trade Center doesn't exist anymore, it is seen in some of today's popular games.
Train Station
A terminal where passengers or cargo aboard trains are transferred.

The Tw@ Internet Cafe is a visitable area in Grand Theft Auto IV, gaining you access to the game's built in internet.
